The PADI Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass underwater. What You’ll Learn:

  1. Navigation Skills: Master underwater navigation using a diving compass.
  2. Natural Clues: Learn to navigate without relying solely on instruments.
  3. Estimate Distance: Understand how to gauge distances underwater.
  4. Return to Boat or Shore: Avoid long, exhausting swims by finding your way back efficiently.

Course Structure:

  1. Independent Study (PADI eLearning®):
    • Start your course online whenever and wherever it’s convenient for you.
    • Work at your own pace, online or offline, using a computer or mobile device.
    • Connect with your instructor for in-water training or whenever you have a question.
    • eLearning time commitment: 2-4 hours.
  2. Instructor-Guided Dives:
    • Practice using a compass on the surface, then apply your skills underwater during three dives.
    • Learn how to estimate distance, follow natural clues, and find your way back to the boat or shore.
    • Prerequisites: PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver (or qualifying entry-level certification).
    • Total time commitment: 2-3 days.
    • Minimum age: 10 years or older.
