Tobia Arbaa is one of the most iconic and beloved dive sites in the entire Safaga and Soma Bay area. Its name famously translates to "Four Tobia," but here's a secret known to local divers: the site is actually a magnificent collection of seven main pinnacles! This beautiful underwater playground is a dream for explorers and photographers, offering a unique and engaging dive as you navigate from one coral tower to the next.
The dive plan at Tobia Arbaa is a fun navigation challenge. The boat will moor near one of the central pinnacles, and from there, you and your guide will chart a course across the sandy bottom to explore the others. Each pinnacle is a unique world, completely covered in pristine hard and soft corals and swarming with life. You can find octopus hiding in their dens, stonefish camouflaged on the reef, and clouds of anthias everywhere. The shallow depth and typically excellent visibility make this a fun and safe adventure for all certified divers, from PADI Open Water Divers to seasoned veterans.
This site is the ultimate navigation dive and a core part of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course for our students in Soma Bay. The stunning scenery provides endless compositions for underwater photographers, and the sheer amount of life guarantees you will never be bored. It is an absolute must-do dive for anyone visiting the area.
