Location and History:
Abu Nuhas is a submerged reef situated in the Red Sea, just north of Shadwan Island.
Abu Nuhas has claimed more vessels than any other reef in the Red Sea.

At least four complete wrecks lie here, each with its own intriguing history:
Chrisoula K: This ship sank en route from Bombay to Suez. It now hosts swaying curtains of glassfish.
Carnatic: Widely recognized as the most beautiful wreck on Abu Nuhas. It sank due to stormy weather while traveling from Bombay to Suez. The wreck is covered in glassfish and inhabited by groupers, lionfish, and jackfish.
Giannis D: Bound for Jeddah from Croatia, the Giannis D met its fate at Abu Nuhas in 1983. It is also exposed to the elements and features scorpionfish, batfish, and free-swimming eels.
