Overview
Sachwa Abu Galawa is located on the eastern side of the main Abu Galawa reef. There is a small lagoon where boats can dock. From there you follow the reef wall towards the north. Along the wall there are many gorgonians, soft corals in bright colors and many small crevices where moray eels and groupers can hide. Further north there is another small lagoon where schools of trumpet fish can be observed. During the winter months you can also spot a large feather-tailed stingray sleeping on the sand. Dolphins are also occasional visitors to this place. When the current is stronger you can also do a nice drift dive here.
